Louis E. Barden, past-president

pointed district chairman on vet-
erans' affairs, Samuel W. Leib,
president of B. B. District Grand
Lodge 6, announced.

man appointed Barden to the
national commission on veterans'
affairs in recognition of his de-
voted interest and active partici-
pation in all matters concerning
veterans.

During the last war, Barden
served with the judge advocates'
office of Gen. Bradley, 12th army
group headquarters in the Euro-
pean theater.

He was awarded the Bronze
Star fur meritorious service by
Gen. Bradley.
Barden participated in five
major battle campaigns.
