▪ Aids Brandeis U. PHIL ROTHSCHILD H AVE Thursday, August 4, 1911 DETROIT JEWISH CHRONICLE Page Eight YOU NOTICED the dif- ference between the western and eastern trains? From N. Y. you're on a train full of Easterners, in fashionable attaire, worried in appearance and quite reserved. Everything is different on the westbound train out of Chicago, however, people have an easier way 'bout them, are more inclined to relaxed haberdashery .. , and they just don't have that air about them that they're going to put on some gigantic deal . . . just seem to be enjoying them- selves. I think the western trains are more comfortable and are newer. The attendants are much more amiable and friendly. There al- ways seems to be soothing music in the club car or diner to Pro- vide that touch of atmosphere. ' • • • DETROITERS ON the go ...
