COUNTRY

Florence Esther Shaye, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sol Chaye of
Strathcona drive, became the bride of Warren Saul Witus, son of
Dr. and Mrs. Morris Witus of Fairfield avenue, in a chapel setting
at the Statler Hotel on July 6.
Rabbi Morris Adler officiated at the evening ceremony.
The bride chose a colonial style wedding gown, fashioned with
an off-the-shoulder neckline and puff sleeves. The pointed tight
bodice of imported chantilly lace over satin fell into a double net
skirt over satin with a full over-skirt of matching lace.
She wore chantilly lace full-length mits that came to a point
over her hands. Her three-tiered veil of illusion was caught to her
dead by a little bonnet of the lace. She carried a cascading bouquet
of white orchids, stephanotis and white satin streamers.
Carolyn Shaye was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were
Sybil Witus, Rhea Roubeck, Carolyn Brown, Phyllis Licht and Mrs.
Harold Weinstein.
Morton Golde served as best man. Ushers were Cliff Rogers,
Harold Weinstein, Norman Feinberg, Marshall Wallace and Harvey
Snider.
Mr. Witus is a student at the University of Michigan medical
school. His bride is a liberal arts student at the same university.
After an extended tour of the west the couple will reside in
Ann Arbor.
