Israeli Father
After Decades
When _Meyer Provisor, 69, ar-
rived in Detroit last Sunday to
visit his children, Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Provizer and Mrs. Samuel
Showier, all of Monterey avenue,
it marked their first meeting in
25 years.
In 1922, Provisor, always an
ardent Zionist, sensing the un-
favorable developments in his
native Poland, took his seven
small children and settled in'
Palestine.
Three daughters and a son re-
mained in the Holy Land, while
Provizer, Mrs. Showier and Mrs.
Pinchos Twersky of N. Y. went
to the U. S.
This is the first visit to this
country for Provisor, who served
as an air raid warden in Tel Aviv
(luring the recent conflict. lie will
stay alternately at the homes of
Provizer and Mrs. Showier while
in Detroit.
