Arkin-Raskin Nuptials
Held at Candlelight

Nuptials Set for June 26

Plans Autumn Bridal

At a candlelight ceremony, May
28, at the Fort Shelby hotel, Hilda
Elaine Arkin, daughter of Mrs.
Ida Arkin and the late Samuel
Arkin, was united in marriage to
Elmer Raskin, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Emil Raskin. Rabbi Morris
Adler and Cantor Jacob Sonenk-
lar officiated.
The bride chose a gown of
candlelight satin and lace.
Selma Arkin was her sister's
maid of honor. The Misses Char-
lotte and Sylvia Arkin were
bridesmaids.
Jerry Raskin served as his
brother's best man. Ushers were
Jerry Krause of Chicago, Larry
Raskin of Toledo, Ted Pines, Gil
Golding, Sidney Charness and
Eugene Adelson.
Following a motor trip to
Florida, the couple will fly to
Havana. They will be at home
at 13835 LaSalle boulevard after
July 1.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marwil of
LaSalle boulevard returned to
their home Monday after a three-
month trip to Israel. They drove
in from New York with their
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Morrison.

daughter of Mrs. Charles Rosen, formerly of Detroit, and the late
Mr. Rosen, to Frederick S. Greenhut, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund

Miss Rosen is a librarian on the staff of the Parkman branch
library.

Ralph Raimis to Sail
for Paris on Aug. 5

Mrs. Ralph A. Raimi, daughter
of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Drews
of Broadstreet boulevard, has re-
ceived her A.B. from the Univer-
sity of Michigan. Mr. Raimi, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob A. Raimi
of Roselawn avenue, has been
elected to Phi Beta Kappa, hon-
orary society.
The couple will sail on the
Queen Elizabeth for Paris, Aug.
5, where they will study at the
University of Paris.
