Pontiac Speaker
Central High
Netters Lead
the Way Again
By MITCHELL TENDLER
ENTRAL HIGH'S outdoor ath-
letic squads went according to
form again. The tennis team was
a winning one, the baseball squad
was a so-so out-
fit and the track
squad turned up
a couple of . indi-
vidual stars.
The 'Blazer
j netters breezed
through eight
matches unde-
feated and at this
writing are wait-
ing to face South-
eastern in the
Tendler
finals for the city title.
Traditionally a power on the
tennis scene, this year's outfit was
no exception. The racqueteers
representing the blue and white
were Sander Levin, Jerry Hirsch,
Fred Horowitz, Larry Bowman,
Carl Gilbert, Iry Ellenson and
Dick Goodman.
Bowman, Horowitz and Ellen-
son went through the schedule
without losing a match.
