CHICAGO—With the full ac-
creditation of the Chicago Medical
School; the city of Chicago now

has five approved medical schools,
an equal number with New York
City.
The Chicago Medical School
was established in 1912, but only
in recent years, under the lead-
ership of Dean John J. Sheinin,
has it reached its goal of full
approval by the American Medi-
cal Association and the Associa-
tion of American Medical Col-
leges.
Lester N. Selig, chairman of
the board of General American
Transportation Corp., is chairman
of the board.
The following is a statement
of the school's policy:

Medical School is based solely on

the Julius Rosenwald Post, Am-
erican Legion, will hold Memor-
ial Day ceremonies.
On Sunday the post and auxili-
ary will decorate graves where-
ever servicemen are buried. At
9:30 a.m., Memorial Day, the post
will hold its annual breakfast,
after which guests will go to
Machpelah Cemetery where noon
services will be staged at the
soldiers plot.
The post will participate in the
memorial services of Congrega-
tion Shaarey Zedek at 2 p.m. at
Clover Hill Cemetery. Dr. R. R.
