Service to the Community" given

Lee reviewed the struggle of
the city in getting fair rates for
utility customers. Ile stressed
that the city was not vindictive
toward the utilities, but wanted a
"square deal" for everyone.
Lee, who has just completed 38
years as assistant corporation
counsel, cited the gains that labor
has made in the last 40 years,
particularly under the late Presi-
dent Roosevelt. He warned that
business was still in the grip of
monopolies and cartels.
The Rev. William B. Sperry,
rector of Christ Episcopal church,
