Dinner Slated
by Rodin Club
Twenty years of service to the
underprivileged will be marked
by the Rodin Club at a dinner
May 15 at Northwood Inn. Mrs.
David Grossman is president .of
the organization.
Founded by the late Mrs. Fanny
Rodin as a family club with a
program of helping others, the
organization has expended many
thousands of dollars, raised by
donations and social events, on
charity. Local individuals and
agencies as well as merry abroad
have been beneficiaries of the
club's police.
A note of sadness will be in-
troduced at this year's dinner be-,
cause it will he the first without
Mrs. Rodin who died in Novem-
ber 1948.
'Mrs. Rodin," Mrs, Grossman
explained, ''was a kindly and!
charitable woman of the old'
school who investigated vases of
want herself and gave out of her
meagre purse generously with-1
out waiting fOr thanks ro, trib-
utes.
''We plan to keep her memory

Teams of hostesses will create
original centerpieces for the
luncheon tables, each symbolic of
a different Jewish festival. Miss ,
Margit, Kormendy. accompanied
by Mrs, Royal Maas. will sing the
traditional music.

meeting, Mrs. M. George Way-
burn will present the president's
annual report, and there will he

rectors.
Chairman of the day is Mrs.
Philip Bloomgarden. Mrs. Robert
Janewav is chairman of the pro-
gram, and Mrs. Victor Jaeobson
of the commissary. Tickets for
the luncheon are available at the
