CLUBS

On Exhibit at C'enter Temple Israel Sisterhood
to Conduct Sabbath Services

The Sisterhood of Temple Is-
rael will conduct the Sabbath eve
service of the, congregation Fri-
day, April 8 at the Art Institute.
Mrs. Harvey Steadman of Lans-
ing, president of the Michigan
State Federation of Temple Sis-
terhoods, will preach on "Accent
on Youth."
Mrs. Reuben Levine, chairman
of the sisterhood committee on
religious activity, organized and
directed preparations for' the
service. •
Mrs. Maurice Levin will serve
as Cantor and Mrs. Benjamin
Bagdade will read from the
Scroll of the Torah. Mesdames
Louis Glasier, David B. Keywell,
Harry Landsman, Reuben Levine,
Irving Levy, Benjamin Merkle,
Harry Singer and George M.
Stutz will lead the service of
worship.
Mrs. Samuel Blacher, president
of the sisterhood, will introduce
Mrs. Steadman, who will be hon-
ored at a reception following the
service.
Through its youth activities

The Equality Club will meet
Wednesday, April 6 at the home
of Ann Berkowitz, 1676 Glad-
stone avenue. Zelda Levitt is
chairman of the luncheon sched-
uled for May 23. The group do-
nated $125 to Youth Aliyah.

Purity Chapter 359 O.E.S., will
stage an Italian luncheon and
fashion show for the cancer fund,
sponsored by the Mollie Burtman
Club, at 12 noon, Monday at the
Eastern Star Temple, 80 Alexan-
drine avenue west. A regular
meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m.,
Monday.

Goldie Meyerson Group, Pion-
eer Women, will hold a "Third
Seder" Sunday, April 24 at the
home of Mrs. Max Bednarsh, 2903

will meet Monday. Plans con-
cerning entertainment and prizes
for the forthcoming mother and
daughter banquet, May 25, will

Women held a "Hard Time party
and Box Social" at the home of
Dr. and Mrs. Manuel Klinger. A
prize was awarded the most
original costume and the movie
"Freedom Bound" was shown.
Proceeds of the evening will go
to Histadrut, Mrs: Phil Steller,
president, announced.
