Funds Rushed
by Histadrut

Of the funds raised in the His-
tadrut campaign, $150,000 has al-
ready ben rushed to Israel, Nor-
man Cottler, campaign treasurer,
reported. He urged all workers
to complete coverage of slips be-
fore Sunday, March 27, the date
set for the closing of the cam-
paign.
Rabbi Abraham Feinberg of
Holy Blossom Temple, Toronto,
will address the next workers'
rally ; Thursday. March 10.
Excellent campaign reports'
were submitted by Radomer Aid
Society, Turover Aid, Hebrew
Benevolent, American Israel;
Club, Jewish Social Club, Lutzger
Voliner, Detroit Ladies' Social
and Detroit Ladies' Aid.
The Rabbi Zager and Louis
Brandeis Lodges of Bnai Brith
have scheduled showings of the
Histadrut film. Histadrut eve-1
nings are planned by the Horo-i
docker, Chornigov Loweyer, Beth
Aaron Men, Jewish Fraternal and
Women's Golden Rule Clubs.

Music Month

Jewish Music Month will be
celebrated with a special program
at 8:30 p.m., Sunday, sponsored
by the joint Yid-
dish culture com-
mittee of the
Jewish Commu-
nity Council at
the Center.
Marguerite Ko-
zenn will be
heard in two
groups of Yid-
dish, Palestinian
and classical
Mrs. Braver Jewish song s.
Julius Chajes, pianist and com-
poser, will play two of his own
compositions. "The Chassid" and
"Palestinian Dance," as well as
"Hebrew Dance" by Weinberg.
Sadie Cooper Braver, violinist,
assisted by Lillian Robbins at the
piano, will play.
A feature of the program will
be a performance by the Center
dance group under the direction
of Fannie Aronson.

LZOA Awaits
Dr. Frymer

Dr. Berl Frymer, executive of
the Labor Zionist Organization,
wil check on the progress of new
LZOA groups on a Detroit visit
March 13 and 14.
Dr. Frymer was secretary of
the Poale Zion Party in Belgium,
and secretary of the Federation
of Youth Organizations in France,
Belgium, Holland and Switzer-
land. He received his doctorate
in political science at the Uni-
versity of Paris.
On the morning of March 13
he will meet with Branch 5, in
the afternoon with Branches 10
and 11, and in the evening with
Branches 1 and 3. Dr. Frymer
will meet with the central com-
mittee of LZOA on Monday,
March 14.
