Sophsticates
By HELEN TENNENBAItal
NE OF THE GREATEST
dramas of all time is just
completing its showing in Detroit.
You who have already seen the su-
r•Ailii perb acting of
Judith Ander-
son in "Medea"
will understand
why your re-
porter considers
it a great hon-
or to have been
able to chat
with this de-
lightful lady of
the theater. She
Helen
feels that if you
have a gnawing urge to act noth-
ing should stop you, providing you
have talent, of course.
"Once you have decided to enter
an acting career," Miss Anderson
advises, ''you should see the best
plays possible to add to your
knowledge of the theater.
"Tell your readers," she bade us,
"to get as much practice as pos-
sible in any production such as
school plays and amateur under-
takings. Then, if they think they
are ready for a try at the real
thing, they should go to a big city
and practice perseverance."
