to Hear Wertheim

the Ilistacirut campaign at 9 p.m.,
Thursday, Feb. 3, in the Labor
Zionist Institute. Ile has recently
returned from a tour of South
American Jewish communities.
The $100,000 mark in the drive
for $375,000 has been passed,
Morris Lieberman, executive
board chairman, reported. Arla-
zaroff Branch, announcing a goal
of $150,000, has already received
$50,000 in gifts and pledges.
Harry Avrutin, field director of
the Trade Union Council for His-
tadrut, revealed that the Wayne
CIO Council had indorsed the
campaign and voted it a $100
gift.

Young Adult Body
and JSG Merge

The Junior Service Group of
the Jewish Welfare Federation
has voted approval of the pro-
posed plan of integration with the
Jewish Young Adult Council.
Under the new plan the mem-
bership of the JSG will be inte-
grated with the Young Adult
Council and the board of direc-
tors will become the community
service committee of the council,
exercising full authority for the
conduct of the campaigns in
which the former Junior Service
Group participated.
Programs that the Junior Ser-
vice Group sponsored for unaf-
filiated young adults will now be
planned by1 the program commit-
tee of the council.

to Meet Wednesday

A third generation Detroiter
became a member of Perfection
Lodge when Bruce Danto, whose
father and grandfather headed
the lodge, entered his apprent-
ice degree in the organization.
Bruce's father is Dr. Samuel
B. Danto, worshipful past mast-
er of Perfection Lodge in 1991.
His grandfather wan the late
