Graduation exercises for the day school of Yeshivath Beth Ye-
hudah will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, in the Yeshivah. Mayor Van.
Antwerp will be guest speaker. The semi-annual meeting will.
take place at the same time. Pupils who will receive diplomas
are, left to right, Isadore Ilaiblum, Morris Garfinkel, Joel
Sperka, Maurice GrOisbarg, Allen Traurig and Ernest Buehler.
Registration is being taken daily for the day school, which
opens again Tuesday, and the afternoon Yeshivah and Beth
Jacob Girls' School, whose new 'terms start Feb. 6. The annual
patrons' dinner will be March 27.

at Shaarey Zedek

Rabbi Solomon Goldman will
speak on behalf of the Jewish
Theological Seminary at 8:30 p.
m., Thursday, at Shaarey Zedek
under the auspices of the Men's
Club of the Synagogue.
His subject will be "Can Juda-
ism Survive in America?"
Rabbi Goldman is former pres-
ident of the Zionist Organization
of America and of the National
Hebrew Association. Since 1929,
he has been spiritual leader of
Congregation Anshe Emeth, Chi-
cago.

Dinner to Honor
Cantor Katzman

Cantor David Katzman will
be honored by Congregation
Bnai Moshe on completion of 10
years of service at a testimonial
dinner at 6 p.m., Sunday, Jan.
30.
Rabbis Moses Lehrman and
Moses Fischer will speak. Sam
Gunsberg is chairman of the
testimonial dinner committee.
Cantor Katzman has served in
congregations in Odessa, Nikol-
aiev, Lemberg, Wilno, Bialostok
and Vienna. He was engaged by
Bnai Moshe in 1938.
Reservations for the dinner
can be made at the congregation

Funeral services for Emma
Silverman, wife of the Rev. Jac-
ob Silverman, were held at the
Lewis Bros. Chapel.
Mrs. Silverman died Jan. 20.
She had been active in the Shaar-
ey Zedek Sisterhood, Hadassah,
and the Women's Auxiliaries of
the Jewish National Fund and
the Jewish Home for Aged.

The Ladies of Yeshivah Beth
Yehudath have outlined a calen-
dar of events for the coming
year to prevent conflict of dates
among organizations.
Scheduled affairs include: Ap-
ril 17, Jewish sound picture at
Central High School; 'May 1, an-
nual banquet at Bnai David; and
Oct. 25, annual donor luncheon.
There will be an election of of-
ficers at a meeting at 1:30 p.m.,
Tuesday, in the Yeshivah.

Young Israel Sets
Kaminetskv Talk

"Jewish Group Dynamics"
will be the subject of Rabbi Jos-
eph Kaminetsky when he speaks
at 8:30 p.m., Monday, in Central
High School under the ausp-
ices of the Young Israel Insti-
tute of Jewish Studies.
Dr. Kaminetsky is director of
education for Torah Umesorah,
New York City.
Before the lecture, registration
will be taken for the spring term
of the institute which opens
Tuesday evening at Central.
