that Jewish soldiers stationed at
Selfridge Field will be guests of
the Jones Post at the JWV's
sixth annual military ball.
The affair will be held Feb. 19
at Masonic Temple.
Servicemen in the city at the
time of the ball are invited to
call the JWV office for free
tickets.
If you know of any service-
man who will be on furlough at
that time, you are invited to give
his name to the department, and
he will be forwarded a ticket.

manship of Mrs. Harry Becker, to

.A sparkling program has been
arranged for the meeting of the
Women's Auxiliary, Jewish Home
for the Aged, at 12:30 p.m., Mon-
day, in the annex of the home.
The birthday party for resi-
dents, usually held the last Thurs-
day of each month, will take
place at this time instead.

Mrs. Samuel Zeldes and Mrs.
Meyer Silverman, chairman and
co-chairman respectively of the
service group, are in-charge of
the program.

Refreshments will be served
at 12:30. At 1:30 Rabbi Moses
Lehrman will give a book re-
view on "A Treasury of Jewish
Folklore" by Nathan Ausubel.
Mrs. Samuel Weller, president,
requests that prospective mem-
bers attend.

South American Trip

Bernard Edelman will leave
next week for New Orleans,
where he will board a plane for
South America. He plans to visit
Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina and
Ecuador. •
