Reburial services for Cpl. Wit-
ham G. (Sonny) Sampson, who
was killed in action Dec. 23, 1944,
will be at 11 a.m., Sunday, at
the Lewis Bros. Chapel.
Military honors will be under
the auspices of the Rosenwald
Post, American Legion, and Boy
Scout Troop 135, with interment
at Machpelah cemetery. Rabbi
Joshua Sperka and Cantor Hy-
man Adler will officiate.
Cpl. Sampson was 20 years
old when he was shot down re-
turning from his eighth bombing
mission over Arhweiler, Ger-
many. lie was awarded the Air
Medal and Purple Heart.
A graduate in the January,
J943, class at Central High
School, Cpl. Sampson is survived
by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max
Sampson, 11818 14th street, and
grandmothers, Mrs. Ida Sampson
and Mrs. Anna Levine.
