Await Pageant

Famed Cantor Guest Artist
for Histadrut Rally, Jan. 9

Detroit's citywide Histadrut
rally Jan. 9, which formally
opens the Detroit 1949 Histadrut
drive for $375,000 in Music Hall
will have the renowed Cantor
Miihal Kusevitsky as guest artist
and Yehudith Ginsburg of Israel
as speaker.
More than 60 organizations
participating in Detroit's Hista-
drut work have already submit-
ted their lists of delegates, Louis
Levine, chairman of organiza-
tions, said.
CLUBS ADVISED

and clubs to send names of their
•epresentatives to Histadrut head-

admission cards to the Jan. 9

Kusevitsky, who gained fame
as the Cantor of the Tlomaski

Events for Holiday

The United Hebrew Schools
will celebrate Chanukah with a
large pageant at 8 p. m., Wed-
nesday, in Central High School.
Entitled "Lights of Dedication,"
the program will include recita-
tions, a candlelighting ceremony,
dances, a playlet and songs by
two choirs. •
Each branch of the UHS will
hold Chanukah parties, arranged
by the Parent-Teachers Organi-
zation in cooperation with prin-
cipals and dramatic teachers.
