Leo Papp Honored
by Detroit Law College

Leo Papp, who was graduated
from the Detroit College of Law
in June, received a key as an
honor award for high scholar-
ship at the school's annual open
house, Dec. 17. Papp was ad-
mitted to practice, Dec. 16, in a
ceremony at the Wayne County
circuit court.

will be principal speaker at a
dessert luncheon of all chapters
of the Women's Division of the
American Jewish Congress at 1
p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29. The
meeting will be held in the home
of Mrs. Irving B. Dworman, 17554
Roselawn avenue.
Mrs. Frederick Maldaver, vice-
president for human relations, is
in charge.
A report will be given on the
12th street community survey be-
ing conducted by the human rela-
tions group. Oscar Cohen, execu-
tive director of the Jewish Com-
munity Council, which is spons-
oring the study, will be present.
Members are asked to bring
their friends to the meeting. A
discussion period will follow the
formal talks.

"Adapting Judaism to the
Needs of America" will be the
theme of the three-day Habonint
seminar, Dec. 26-30, for youths,
ages 15 to 20.
The seminar will get under
way at 8:30 p.m., Sunday, at the
Labor Zionist Institute, Linwood
and Pasadena avenues.
Winter sports, a discussion and
a communal lunch are on Mon-
day's program, which will start
at 10 - a.m. A second discussion
at 7:30 p.m., will end the day's
activities.
A forum on "What Path Amer.
ican Judaism?" will climax the
Tuesday program to be held at
the David Simons School, Tux-
edo and Holmur avenues.
David Breslau, acting director
of the Labor Zionist Youth Com-
mission, will head the seminar
and speak on Tuesday's panel
along with Rabbi M. J. Withl-
gelernter and Rabbi Sidney
Axelrod.
Occurring simultaneously with
the seminar will be llabonim's
first annual winter camp at Ce-
