betrothal of their daughter Florence Esther to Warren Witus, son
of Dr. and Mrs. Morris Witus of Fairfield avenue. The couple will
be honored at an open house from 8 to 11 p.m., Wednesday, in the

gagement of their daughter Frances to Robert Harold Golden, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Golden of Barlow avenue. The wedding will
take place in June.
The betrothal of Lynne Sylvia Rubin to Martin B. Smilay,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor II. Smilay of Chicago, is announced by
the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan E. Rubin of Cort-
land avenue. Mr. Smilay attends the University of Illinois. No wed-
ding date has been set. .

is planned.

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Silverman are honeymooning in Mexico
following their marriage, Dec. 12 at Shaarey Zedek.
Mrs. Silverman is the former Geraldine K. Todd, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Todd of Rochester avenue. Mr. and Mrs.
Nathan Silverman of Longfellow avenue are parents of the bridge-
groom.
Rabbi Morris Adler officiated M the candlelight ceremony.
The bride's gown was of candlelight lace. Rose beige lace was
chosen by Lois Landsberg, the maid of honor, and rust-colored
velveteen by Rhoda Lipman and Judith Silverman, sister of the
bridegroom, who were bridesmaids.
Miriam Silverman, sister of the bridegroom, acted as flower
girl and was dressed in powder blue organza. The bride's mother
wore a gown of Persian blue, and the bridegroom's mother, a
gown of nloss green.
Best man was William Stone and ushers were Toby Holtz-
man, Larry Fleischman and David Holtzman.
