Artists at Sisterhood Event

Musical Interlude Planned
for Luncheon at Beth El

A musical interlude will high-
light the Beth El Sisterhood pro-
gram at 1 p.m. Monday. Emily
Mutter Adams, violinist, and
Mrs. Royal Maas, pianist, will be
the guest artists.
Miss Adams is a member of
the first violin section of the
Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
Mrs. Maas is affiliated with the
sisterhood. She appeared recent-
ly as soloist for the Tuesday
Musicale.
Mrs. M. George Wayburn will
preside at a brief business ses-
sion. The recent convention of
the Union of American Hebrew
Congregations will be reported
by Mrs. Harold Shapero.
A dessert luncheon will be
served under chairmanship of

by Aesculapians

Harry Berlin has been reelect-
ed president of the Aesculapian
Pharmaceutical Association.
Other new officers are Al
noggin, vice-president; Michael
Wainer, secretary; and Harry
Pernick, treasurer.
Named to the executive board
are Morris Karbal, ex-officio;
Hyman Margolis, H. A. Katz-
man, Nate Cooper, Miss Mineta
Merger, Ed Rothenberg and
Martin Share.
Beside having a successful
social season, the club organized
an emergency drug committee
under Ben Bavly, which turned
in pledges and merchandise
valued at $32,000 to Materials
for Israel.

Awaits Luncheon

Mrs. Milton C. Lippitz, presi-
dent of the Women's League of
the United Synagogue Sister-
hoods, will be guest speaker at
a luncheon at the final Moshe
Sisterhood, Monday in the Syna-
gogue.
The affair, will honor Mrs.
Moses Lehrman, wife of the
new spiritual leader of the con-
gregation.
General chairman is Mrs.
Theodore Curtis, with Mrs. Paul
Freeman in charge of the pro-
gram. Mrs. 1. K Goodman will
be chairman for the day.
