BE OR not to be on time,
that is the question. . . . Are
the girls always on time for their
dates?
After an exhaustive survey
among men who take goils out
and from observations by this
snooper (who even went so far
as to date a few ferns) the re-
sults showed that the fair sex
was never on time.
Accusations fall into ,the fol-
lowing categories: (1) The girls
took too long to dress, (2) Wast-
ed time with idle chatter with
gal friends on the phone, (3)
Got calls and kibbitzed with oth-
er 'male callers, (4) Scheduled
another date earlier in the eve-
ning, (5) Took a last minute
nap, (6) Delayed being on time
so caller could chat with family,
(7) Never expected to be on
time in the first place.
So the moral of this story is
why be on time?

Rally 'No' Votes
on Callahan Act
Steps have been undertaken
to initiate a campaign to defeat
the Callahan Act which is ap-
pearing on the Nov. 2 ballot as
Proposition Number 6.
The Michigan Committee to
Defend the Bill of Rights as-
sumed the task of rallying Mich-
igan voters to vote "NO" on the
proposition, because as Prof.
Preston Slosson of the Univer-
sity of Michigan, chairman of
the committee said, "The Calla-
han Act is the ugly little brother
of the Mundt-Nixon Bill."
The Callahan Act provides
that vaguely defined "foreign
agents" and persons and orga-
nizations sympathetic to foreign
countries must register with the
attorney general.
Opposition arose to the bill
because of its loosely-drawn and
vague character and its duplica-
tion of powers confined to the
Federal government.
Under the Callahan Act it has
been charged that any religious
organization, foreign relief group,
fraternal organization, foreign-
language society, or labor union
would be liable to persecutpn
and public defamation of its
character.
