Council Eyes Needs of Israel
as It Pushes $75,000 Drive

In its fund-raising leaders, the
Greater Detroit Bnai Brith Wo-
men's Council has a staff that it
feels is second to none.
One of them is Mrs. Sam Gold,
who as ad chairman carries a
great share of the responsibility
in the Council's city-wide drive
for $75,000.
She has been busy ever since
her appointment and is continu-
ally receiving compliments for
her zealous efforts.
FURNISHES ROOMS
The $75,000 will be used to
support Bnai Brith's many and
varied philanthropic projects.
Among them is "Aid to Israel,"
whose importance looms larger
each day.
The Women's District Grand
Lodge No. 6 recently spent $3,000
to furnish two rooms at a hospi-
tal in Tel Aviv, which will be
named in memory of the late
Col. David Marcus as a tribute
to the American hero who lost
his life as a volunteer defender
of the Jewish State.
