Spur Emigration

PARIS (WNS)-A new pro-
gram to place immediate empha-
sis on the mass emigration of
European Jewry to Israel and on
large-scale mobilization of "Cha-
lutzim" for the Jewish State was
discussed here in a plenary ses-
sion of the European bureau of
the World Confederation of Gen-
eral Zionists.
The meeting was attended by
a number of prominent Ameri:
can General Zionist leaders who
were on their way to Israel.
Included were Dr. Israel Gold-
stein, chairman of the World
Confederation of General Zion-
its; Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, chair-
man of the American section of
the Jewish Agency; and Dr.
Emanuel Neumann, president of
the Zionist Organization of
America.
The Americans are now in
Tel Aviv for the first meeting
of the entire world executive of
the World Confederation of Gen-
eral Zionists to be held since the
establishment of the Jewish
State.
