A dinner and reception fol- lowed the ceremony after which the couple left for a honeymoon in Montreal. Edith 'Lewis Becomes Bride of Alex Marx The marriage of Edith Lewis, daughter of Mrs. Freida Lewis of Calvert avenue, to Alex Marx, son of Carl Marx and the late Mrs. Marx, was solemn- ized by Rabbi A. M. Hershman July 18 in the home of the bride-elect's brother, M. B. Lewis of Sturtevant avenue. MONTE KORN A pink and white floral arrangement provided the setting for the marriage July 11 of Eleanor Karbal and Monte Korn . Rabbi Morris Adler performed the double ring candlelight cere- mony at 6 o'clock in Congregation Shaarey Zedek. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack M: Karbal of Leslie avenue, and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Sarah Korn and Mr. Samuel Korn. The bride wore a blush glow satin gown, which had drbp shoulders and a narrow shadow lace outlining the neckline. A colonial-styled bodice came to a point in front and a full skirt swept in a court train. Her veil of illusion was held in place by her mother's headdress of orange blossoms and tiny buds. She carried a bouquet of white orchids on a mother-of-pearl Bible. Ruth Kirschbaum was maid of honor; Mrs. Arlene Mehler, sister of the bride, matron of honor; and Beverly Karbal, younger sister of the bride, junior bridesmaid. The bride's other attendants included Phyliss Korn, Norma Karbal, Marilyn Corman and Constance Karbal. Dave Moss was best man, and the ushers were Morton Mehler, Al Davis, Max Warren, Edward Simon, Ted Mandell and Thomas Levine. After the dinner and reception which followed the ceremony, the newlyweds left for a honeymoon in California. To Wed Californian Mrs. Philip G.
