both good and bad Yiddish rec-
ords.
Everyone likes and dislikes
certain foods, clothing, books
and other
things. It de-
pends on one's
personal tastes
I find some
records very
humorous and
enter taming.
Others, al-
though intend-
ed to be hu-
morous, a r e
so exaggerated _
and crude that they irritate me.
Many people must enjoy
these burlesque Yiddish records
or they wouldn't buy them.

MRS, ALEXANDER SANDERS
has been named reception
committee chairman of Ilasho-
far, the music group which
recently reelected Mrs. Sol Q.
Kesler as chairman; Cantor
Jacob Sonenklar, vice-chair-
man; Herman Jacobs, secre-
tary; and Mrs. Maurice Lan-
dau, treasurer. Other commit-
tee heads are Mrs. Morris
Friedman, Lillian Robbins, Jul-
ius Chajes and Mrs. L. Corb-
man-Schakne.

Tall - Towers Await
Beach Party Sunday

Final plans have been made
by the Tall Towers for their
beach party to be held at 11
a.m., Sunday. Starting point
will be the home of Gerrie
Hamburg, 3000 Webb avenue.
Transportation will be provided.
All girls five-feet-eight or
over and men six feet or over

A unique affair, combining the
installati9n of officers with the
raising of funds for Israel, was
held by Haifa Chapter, Zionist
Organization of Detroit, Sunday
evening at the home of Dr. and
Mrs. Irving Silver. Approxi-
mately $100 was raised.
Max Gross, technical director
of the Equipment for Israel
Project, installed the following
officers: Dr. Louis Kazdan, re-
elected president; Benjamin
Weiss, Mrs..Albert Schwartz and
Martin Hoffer, vice-presidents.
Also Mrs. Herman Kazdan
and Mrs. Fred Perlman, secre-
taries; Herman Kazdan, treas-
urer; and Seymour Kraus, audi-
tor.
In addition to the officers, the
board includes Mrs. Philip Bern-
stein, Sidney Brand, Mrs. Paul
Fraiberg, Mrs. Irving Silver and
SEYMOUR SHULMAN, 1605 Mrs. Alex Zuclfman.

Aid Society Sets
Luncheon Date

Plans for the 16th annual
donor luncheon of the Hebrew
Ladies Aid Society were form-
