Betrothal to Kal Soskin Told

Romayne Leader,
Virginian Married

On Cruise to South America

In a candlelight service per
formed under a canopy of white
flowers in the Jefferson room of
the Whittier Hotel, Romayne
Leader, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Earl Leader of Picadilly
road, was united in marriage
July 5 to Robert Frank, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Louis C. Frank of
Newport News, Va.
The bride's attendants were
Joan Mendlow, maid of honor;
Shirley Barak, matron of honor;
Sallee Ann Chernick, Barbara
Malitz and Nina Kessler, brides-
maids; and Sandra Chernick and
Beverly Ray Rafal, junior brides-
maids.
Jules Frank, brother of the
bridegroom, served as best man,
and Herbert Chernick, Mac Sha-
piro, Dave - Frank and - Donald
Albion were ushers.
After the ceremony, dinner was
served in the Pompeian room.
The newlyweds are spending
their honeymoon in Wisconsin
and will make their home in
Charlottesville, Va.

Mrs. Garelik Feted
on Her 80th Birthday

Mrs. Anna Garelik was hon-
ored by her children and grand-
children at a dinner party last
Sunday in Northwood Inn on the
occasion of her 80th birthday.

Newlyweds Honored
at Bay City Luncheon

and Mrs. Charles Isackson
(Fay Dushkin) have returned
from their honeymoon and are
temporarily residing at 17547 In-
diana avenue.
Last week they visited in Bay
City, where they were honored
at a luncheon for 40 guests giv-
en by their aunt, Miss Minnie
Miller.
Detroiters who attended were
Mr. and Mrs. Barney Kahn, Mr.
and Mrs. Eli Sachse, Mr. and
Mrs. Max Dushkin, Myrom Dush-
kin and Arlene Kahn.

Rosenstein and daughters Nancy
and June of South Bend, Ind.,

student at the University of
Miami, is visiting Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Dobbs of Oregon avenue.

Sojourning in Miami Beach
are Mr. and Mrs. Bud Blum of
Atkinson avenue.

Mrs. Ralph Davidson of Chi-
cago boulevard has been visit-
ing in Pittsburgh.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin M. Marks
of Highland avenue are in Chi-
cago visiting Mr. Mark's mother.
Mrs. Sadie A. Rosenthal. They
will tour the west and return
about Sept. 1.

BERNICE PERLIN
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Perlin of Webb avenue announced the
engagement of their daughter Bernice to Kal Soskin, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Soskin of Indiana avenue, at a dinner
party, July 9 in the Wilshire Hotel. The wedding will take
place in November.

Plans Fall Nuptials

MRS. NORMAN KOIILENBERG
Marian Berman and Norman Kohlenberg were united in mar-
riage June 24 at Congregation. Shaarey Zedek. Rabbi Morris
Adler and Cantor Jacob Sonenklar officiated at the ceremony,
which was followed by a dinner and reception.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Berman
of Euclid avenue west. Her husband's parents are Mr. and Mrs.
Sam Kohlenberg of Leslie avenue.
Mrs. Samuel Linsky was matron of honor, and bridesmaids
were Eunice Schneider, Muriel Kohlenberg, Jeanette Devenow
and Sylvia Star. Terry Ann Goldberg was flower girl.
Serving the bridegroom were David Kohlenberg, best man;
Norman Rosenfeld, Leon , Kohlenberg, Louis Berman and Martin
Kohlenberg, ushers; and Larrie Dubin, ringbearer.
The bridal couple are spending their honeymoon in New
York and on a cruise to South America. They will make
their home on Ardmore avenue.
