Picnic Planned
by Chapter One
PHIL ROTHSCHILD
O
UR SCHOOL CHUMS have
tossed away their books and
are making big plans for the
summer. Some will be out look-
ing for a job to show the old
man sonny can earn his own
buck or two for spending
change.
During the next week or two,
the graduates will sit back and
listen to a lot of canned blah,
blah that our so-called "ad-
visers" have dusted of for the
1948 class — information that
won't much be missed.
If you want to hear something
real, get a disabled vet to tell
you of the redtape he had to
go through to get back to ci-
vilian status . . . Get some of
our heroic GI's to relate what
value battle stars and service
stripes have in the mad race to
make money. Listen to a young
Jewish fellow who has to buck
discrimination to get a job.
They'll have stories to tell!
