Engagements


Mrs. Sophia Bigman of Richton avenue announces the en-
gagement of her daughter Rae to Harold Hurvitz, son of Mrs.
Celia Hurvitz of LaSalle boulevard. No wedding date has been
set.

Hashofar will hold an open
air musicale at its annual meet-
ing at 8:30 p.m., Thursday in
the Jewish Center.
Participating will be the Jew-
ish Folk Chorus, Shoshana
Brook-Friedman, soprano, and
Jules Yanaver, violinist of the
Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
Aliza Stulman will assist at the
piano.

Announcement is made of the betrothal of Geraldine Rud-
sky, daughter bf Mr. and Mrs. S. Rudsky, to Leo Oliva, son of
Mrs. B. Olivo of Whitney avenue. The wedding date has been set
for June 27.

An Oct. 31 wedding is planned by Frances Hendin and Henry
Abram Feinstein, whose engagement is announced by the bride-
elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Hendin of Clements avenue.
Mr. Feinstein is the son of M1•. and Mrs. Herman Feinstein of
Coaldale, Pa.

Awaits Dance

Mrs. Rose Berman announces the engagement of her daugh-
ter Mildred to Sander Bell, - son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bell of

Of interest to many Detroiters is the announcement of the
engagement of Elaine Wilets, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. B.
Wilets of Milwaukee, to Kenneth Edgar Berke, son of Mr. and
Mrs. J. H. Berke of Milwaukee and formerly of this city. Both
are in the graduating class at the University of Michigan, where
Mr. Berke is affiliated with Pi Lambda Phi.
