Engagement Told

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Green of Sturtevant avenue announce the
engagement If their daughter Eleanor Sally to Philip Sanfield,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sanfield of Dexter boulevard. Miss
Green is a student at Wayne University and is studying music
under Edward Bredshall. Her fiance will be graduated from
Highland Park Junior College in June. An August wedding is
planned.
Announcement is made of the betrothal of Pearl Boraks,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Boraks of Waverly avenue, to
Herman J. Gorman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sol Gorman of LaSalle
boulevard. The bride-elect attended the University of Michigan.
The couple will be married in August.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Gurvis of Los Angeles and formerly of
Detroit ,announce the engagement of their daughter Dolores Lor-
rain to . Aaron Richard Rabin, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Rabin of
Philadelphia. The couple will be married June 20 and will reside
in Los Angeles.
At a family dinner, Mrs. Celia Honikman of Elmhurst ave-
nue announced the engagement of her daughter Freeda to Morris
Korelitz, son of Mrs. Jennie Korelitz. An early fall wedding is
planned.

LEONARD DEVENOW

The Bagley room of the Hotel
Statler was transformed into a
chapel for the marriage of Jean-
nette Rosalie Kushner to Leon-
ard Henry Devenow.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Kushner
of Birwood avenue. Mr. and
Mrs. Samuel Devenow of Sher-
bourne drive are parents of the
bridegroom.
For her wedding, the bride
chose a gown of eggshell satin
fashioned with a high-neck bo-
dice and with long glove-like
sleeves, which came to a point
over her hands.
The train fell below a bustle
that swathed the hip-line in a
girdle effect. Her veil of illu-
sion was held in place by a
bonnet banded with the satin of
her gown and set off with a
cluster of fresh stephanotis. She
carried a bouquet of white or-
chids and stephanotis.
Miss Pearl Devenow, sister of
the bridegroom, was maid of
honor; Mrs. Chester Devenow of
Toledo, matron of honor; and
Miss Shirlee Pradell of Los An-
geles, bridesmaid.
• Serving as best man was the
bridegroom's brother, Chester of
Toledo. The bride's brothers,
Seymour, Sheldon and Victor
Kushner, the latter of Los An
geles, and Lawrence Aronoff and
Leonard Fruchtman were ushers.
Following a honeymoon in
Florida and Havana, the couple
will reside in Toledo.
