Aaron Kurland, past presi-

the Detroit College of Law in

He was appointed by former.
Gov. Frank Murphy as counsel
for the Michigan Public Trust
Commission and fostered the
movement for 100 percent pay-
ment to depositors of closed
national banks during the de-
Halevy Singing Society pression.

editor of the Jewish Frontier.

QUESTION: Do you agree
with the survey that claims
that Jewish children are no
more "clannish" than Gentile
children?

JOSEPH ARONSON, 2947 Wa-
verly avenue, sheet metal
worker.
. I don't know for sure if Gen-
tile children are more clannish
than Jewish children but I do
think their
parents are.

Since the be-
havior of chil-
dren is very
much affected
by what they
are taught in
their homes,
this might in-
dicate that
Gentile chil-
dren are more clannish.
From my observations, most
Jewish parents teach their
children to love rather than
hate.

I don't believe Jewish chil-
dren are more clannish than Gen-
tile children. In fact, they may be
less clannish
since their par-
ents don't
teach discrimi-

Gentile parents
do.
One thing
certain is that
Jewish chil-
dren have a
harder time
breaking into a
Gentile group than vice versa:
History has made the Jew
more tolerant. It hasn't affected
the Gentile nearly as much.
