Ex-GI Returns Bnai Moshe Unit
to Mt. Clemens to Honor Mothers
as a Cantor
Sisterhood Awaits

During the war, a New York
serviceman, stationed at Self-
ridge Field, would drop in at the
Colonial Hotel, Mt. Clemens, for
a taste of the Jewish environ-
ment so lacking at air bases.
The war has been over some
two years now, but 29-year-old
Irving Dubow always kept a
sacred place in his heart for the
hotel.
He, therefore, was overjoyed
when invited to conduct services
there during Passover.
Reputed to be the youngest
Cantor of mature ability in the
U.S., the veteran has been one
of Judaism's best representatives
among the younger set.
"Everywhere I go I am ap-
pealing to young men of Jewish
faith to reflect on the troubled
past of their race," Cantor Du-
bow said. "The older genera-
tion is tired and is looking to the
youth to carry on the sacred
rites of the Temple."
