ment had no effect on Mrs. Pin-
cus. She went on eating her
soup.
Again she was informed, "We
are telling you, Mrs. Pincus,
that your husband is no more.
He fell 30 storeys."
Without missing a stroke of
the spoon, she answered: "Gen-
tlemen, just as soon as I finish
this soup, will you hear a
woman scream!"

JAKE FACED a judge who
seemed to show a distinct pre-

decorum of his court, the an-
