by 20 at a Luncheon

The Alumnae Group of Sigma
Delta Tau sorority has been in-
vited by the University of
Michigan chapter to a tea
May 1 in Ann Arbor.
Mesdames Isabelle Mazer Au-
drey Rose, Fritzie Ackerman,
Thelma Netzorg, Leona Brisk-
man, Regene Freud Cohane, Rita
Loewenstein, Terry Rosen and
Rose Desenberg participated in
a meeting of the local group
last Saturday in the home of
Mrs. Milton N. Zimmerman.

Two brides-elect, Betty Minus
and Lillian Rudner, were en-
tertained at a luncheon by Mrs.
Richard Cott, Esther Berman
and Irene Cott. There were 20
guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Max Ankerman
and son Hy of Richton avenue
are back from a week's visit in
New York City, where they at-
tended a family reunion and
also the wedding of their niece.
Miss Fay Oberman, sister of
Mrs. Ankerman, accompanied
them.

Congregation Shaarey Zedek
was the scene of the marriage
of Sylvia Rose, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rose of
Glendale avenue, to Saul Wald-
man, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Waldman of Montreal.
The bride's gown of white
satin was embroidered at the
neckline with seed pearls. A
full-length veil covered the
train, and her crown was made
of seed pearls. A bouquet of
white orchids adorned her Bi-
ble.
Rita Rose attended her sister
as maid of honor and Miriam
Ros", the bride's sister-in-law,
was matron of honor. Brides-
mails were Sally Hechtrnan,
Freeda Shoock of Washington,
D. C. and Sue Waldman of
Montreal, Sandra Toby Schlus-
sel was flower girl.
Best man was Saul Rose and
ushers were Joe Rose, Bill Wo-
lok and Phil Kolodney of Mon-
treal. Marshall Wolok and Leon
Waldman served as ring bear-
ers.
Following the ceremony the
couple left on a wedding trip
to New York and Washington,
D. C.

Mrs. Hilda Harris of Penning-
ton drive returned this week af-
ter spending the winter with
her children, Mr. and Mrs. Jo-
seph Harris of Los Angeles.

Vivian Clare Bigelman of Hol-
lywood, young dramatic dancer
and sculptress who has ap-
peared in several movies, is
spending 12 days with her un-
cle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Bigelman of Glendale avenue.
Miss Bigelman is en route to
New York City, where she will
design stage settings. She is
the daughter of Dr. Leo Bigel-
man, prominent Hollywood phy-
sician and script writer.
