Contest Winner

To Describe Trip

Her Poem Selected
by Sisterhood Body

Mrs. Harry Landsman of Tem-
ple Israel took first place in the
poetry contest sponsored by the
Michigan Federation of Temple
Sisterhoods, Mrs. Harvey Stead-
man of Lansing, president, an-
nounced.
The winner will be presented
two serling silver Kiddush cups
by Mrs. John lmerman in mem-
ory of Mrs. 'merman's (laughter,
Delia 'merman Meyers, who was
president of the federation at
the time of her death.
The presentation will be made
at a luncheon meeting for all
Michigan presidents, Friday, Ap-
ril 16. Mrs. Louis A. Rosett of
New Rochelle, N. Y., president
of the national federation, will
be guest speaker.

field, Mrs. Landsman wrote the
words to Wayne University's
"Green and Gold" song. Iler win-
ning poem was entitled "Cha-
nukah Reverie."

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Davis of
Dexter boulevard have left for
a month's vacation in Miami
Beach.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Wolf of
Collingwood avenue have as
their guest Mrs. Wolf's sister,
Mrs. F. Wetterhahn of Johannes-
burg, South Africa, who will re-
main in the United States for
six months.

Birnkrant to Address
South Chapter of ORT

Norman Birnkrant, vice-presi-
dent of the International Junior
Chamber of Commerce, will
speak on "What Are the Young
People of Europe Thinking
About Now?" at the first meet-
ing of the newly-organized
South Chapter of ORT, Tuesday
in the home of Mrs. Charles
Feinberg, 872 Boston boulevard

`Club Northwest' May 1

the Young People's Club of the
