Ex-Detroiter Wed in Miami

At a dinner given in their home on Glynn Court, Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Rosenstein announced the engagement of their niece
Martha Fine of Pittsburgh to William Feldman, son of Mrs.
Rebecca Feldman. An April wedding is planned.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Friedman of McQuade avenue announce
the betrothal of their daughter Dorothy of Los Angeles to Law-
rence B. Ross, son of Mrs. Ida Ross of Los Angeles. The wedding
will take place in June.
Announcement is made of the engagement of Freda Maslow-
sky, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Maslowsky of Grand
avenue, to Harry Abromovitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Abromo-
vitz of Gladstone avenue.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter R. Merians of Tyler avenue announce
the engagement of their daughter Arlane Madison to William
Veis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Veis of Tyler avenue. Miss
Madison attends the University of Michigan. The couple is plan-
ning an August wedding.
The engagement of Zelda Rogovein to Norman I. Zeldes, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Zeldes of Hazelwood avenue, has been an-
nounced by the bride-elect's mother, Mrs. David Rogovein.
Mrs. Sarah Zico of Pingree avenue announces the betrothal
of her daughter Pearl to George Arthur, son of Mrs. Mary Ber-
man of Buena Vista avenue. The wedding will take place
June 20.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Brenner of Bay City announce the en-
gagement of their daughter Norma Ellen of Detroit to Robert
Rittman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rittman of Detroit. The
couple will be married in the early fall.

lecturer, will address the bail-
quet session Sunday.
HadasSah's emergency program
of medical aid to Haganah will
be presented by Mrs. Alexander
Dushkin, national vice-president.
Mrs. Ezra Shapiro, regional
president, announced that a mem-
ber of Haganah, recently arrived
in this country, will report to
the conference on the security
position of the Yishuv.

Betty Porvin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David R. Porvin of
Miami Beach and formerly of Detroit, became the bride March 7
of Moses Braunstein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Braunstein of
Miami. The ceremony was held at Temple Israel in Miami Beach.
The bride wore aqua lace over a ballerina length petticoat of
aqua taffeta and organdy with a hoop skirt. She wore an off-the-
face hat of lace with shoulder veiling of aqua net, appliqued
with lace leaves. She carried a nosegay of three white orchids,
lilies of the valley and orange blossoms.
