Sponsored by the Anti-Defa- mation League of Bnai Brith, the Southern Regional Council, Members of the ADL committee of the Greater Detroit Bnai Brill' Women's Council present the pamphlet, "Your Neighbor Celebrates the Jewish Holidays," to the Detroit Board of Education for use in public schools. The pamphlet provides information and carries photographs concerning the major Jewish religious observances. Medals Awarded by Detroit Edison Five Alex Dow Models were presented, one posthumously, to Detroit Edison Co. employes last week by James W. Parker, president. One of 1947's winners was the late J. Herbert Walker, who was a vice-president of the company at the time of his death Dec. I, 1947. The awards, including an en- graved watch, a $100 savings bond, a certificate of merit and a gold lapel button, were pre- sented before several hundred employes. They are made annually to Edison perionnel who have per- formed unusual achievements or outstanding contributions.
