DETROIT JEWISH CHRONICLE

Page Twelve

TWO YEARS HAVE swiftly
passed since we initiated this
gossip col'm. It has been fun for
us to do. ... We seem to have
pleased most readers and vexed
but a few.
Why do we publish this chit-
chat? This was answered by an
eastern newspaper which wrote:
"If you get born, marry, have a
baby, die or some accident hap-
pens to you, please let us know
• . . not that we give a darn,
but most of our readers have a
lot of curiosity!"
I don't particularly care to
write because writing is think-
ing, and thinking is a most
loathsome form of work espe-
cially since spring is here. One
of these days the Gallup re-
search man will be around to
ask me whether I am in favor
of work. I had better iet on
the job to try it out.

A BIRTHDAY SONG

Many happy returns of the day
to our readers whose birthdays
fall this month ... Miriam Rot.
man, Rae Ann Moss, Marylin
Cohen, Freda Frazer, Faye and
Larry Weinberg, Arlene Barnett
and Elaine Fishel.
More natal day congrats to
Joel Rosenthal, Grant Robbins,
