Women's Division
Awaits Kickoff

The engagement of Barbara
Lansky to Leon Zolkower is an-
nounced by her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Julius Lansky of Webb ave-
nue.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Zolkower
of Elmhurst avenue are parents
of the bridegroom-elect. Plans
are being made for a December
wedding.

Getting the work started in
the 1948 Allied Jewish Campaign
for the Women's Division, solic-
itors will receive their instruc-
tions ifnd kits at a kickoff meet-
ing at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday,
March 24, at the Center.
All women workers will meet
in the auditorium for an infor-
mation session and luncheon,
following individual division
meetings. The feature presen-
tation of the day will be a
playlet given by the Temple Is-
rael High School dramatic group,
under the direction of William
P. Greenberg.
United Jewish Appeal agency
programs will be dramatized, as
well as the job of the Women's
Division in the Year of Destiny
for the Allied Jewish Campaign.
Mrs. Joseph G. Fenton, pro-
gram chairman, and Mrs. Harry
Jacobson, arrangements, are in
charge of plans.

Junior Hadassah President
to Be Feted Here March 28

Zelda Funk, national president
of Junior Hadassah, will be hon-
ored at a reception by Junior
and Senior Hadassah of Detroit,
March 28 at the Jewish Center.
Miss Funk is coming here to
participate in the Central States
Regional Zionist Youth Institute,
March 26-28. She will speak on
the role of American Jewish
youth in the Zionist movement.
All young women and their

Mrs. harry L. Jones, Detroit
Chapter president, and Dorothea
Bond, Junior Hadassah president.
