held by the Young People's So-
ciety of Shaarey Zedek, March
21 at the Rouge Recreation Cen-
ter, (Sorenson House):
Entertainment will be provid-
ed by Robert Sadlow, singer;
Mickey Goodman, comedian; and
Nathan Weisbrot, dancer.
Other highlights will be mod-
ern and square dancing, movies

Detroit Jewish young adults
will launch their part of the 1948
Allied Jewish Campaign at a
workers' rally at 2:30 p.m. Sun-
day, in the Jewish Center, with
Max Lerner, editorial director of
the newspaper PM, as guest
speaker.
Barbara A. Greenberg and
Leonard Baruch, co-chairmen of
the Junior Division, have set a
goal of 1,000 workers for the
drive. "We expect to go over
the top of that goal easily," the
said.
Lerner, 44, looks back on a
career in which he has combined
teaching and journalism.
He made his mark early as edi-
tor of The Nation and The New
Republic, and his editorials in
PM are widely read and quoted.
EDUCATED AT YALE
Educated in literature and law
at Yale University and in eco-
nomics and political science at
Robert Brookings Graduate
School in Washington, D. C., Ler-
ner has taught at Sarah Lawrence
College, Harvard and most re-
cently at Williams College.
All young adults, ages 16 to 30,
are invited, the chairmen said.
Initiating special gifts activities
for the Junior Division, Section
A will hold an advanced gifts
dinner at 6 p.m., Sunday, in the
Lee Plaza Hotel, under the chair-
manship of Morton D. Lieberman.
Lerner will speak.
