Herman Yablokoff, prominent
member of the Yiddish theater,
will describe his experiences as
"the founder of the DP circuit"
to members of Detroit Yiddish-
speaking organizations at 8:15

The meeting is under the au-

Yablokoff, actor, singer and
composer, recently returned from
a tour of the displaced persons'
camps in Germany, Austria and
Italy sponsored by the Joint Dis-
tribution Committee.

Originally he left for , Europe
as represenative of the Hebrew
Actors' Union. His purpose was
to bring makeup, music .and oth-
er materials to Jewish DP'S who
wished to put on shows. ,
When he reached Paris, he
was asked by the ,JDC to give
one or two concerts for DP's in
Germany. He agreed, but what
started out as a two-night stand
lasted seven months instead. '
