WASHINGTON, D. C. — Bnai
Brith has 203,000 men and 103,000
women in its ranks, it was re-
ported at the annual meeting here
of the national executive commit-
tee.

The committee reaffirmed its
support of the Stratton Bill and
pledged full support of President
Truman's 10-point legislative pro-
gram on civil rights.
In tribute to Dr. A. L. Sachar,
who recently retired as national
Hillel director after 20 years of
service, it was decided to set up
an annual reward in the nature
of a "Jewish Pulitzer Prize," to
be awarded to the person of any
faith who produces the best work
of art, music or literature which
contributes most to Jewish cul-
ture.

of the Hotel Tuller, Isadore
Starr, membership chairman,

He added that Pisgah is well
on its way to attaining its quota
of 450 new members.
The campaign is being con-
ducted in honor of Pisgah's 90th
Anniversary year, and the goal
is based on five members for
each year of the group's exist-
ence.
Plans are near completion for
the lodge's annual father-son-
daughter affair to be held Feb.
29 in the Jewish Center, Victor
Bloomfield, chairman, revealed.
Members are urged to bring
non-Jewish friends to the broth-
erhood meeting, Herbert S. Es-
kin, president, said.
