Mr. and Mrs. Max Bennish of Grand avenue announce the
engagement of their daughter Bettye to Sol Carr, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ben Carr of Monterey avenue. An open house will be held
in honor of the couple from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, at the Bennish
home. No cards.
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice F. Roe of Stoepel avenue announce the
engagement of their daughter Barbara to Dr. Raymond Robins!
son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Robins of Collingwood avenue. Miss
Roe attended Wayne University. Dr. Robins is a graduate of the
University of Michigan and is affiliated with Alpha Omega. The
wedding date has been set for March 31.
Announcement is made of the engagement of Marjorie Harris.
daughter of Mrs. Kate J. Harris of Genessee avenue, and the
late Arthur A. Harris, to Dr. Warren E. Shelden, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Max Shelden of Webb avenue. An early spring wedding
is planned.
The Rev. and Mrs. Herman Witty of New York City announce
the engagement of their daughter Rhoda to Charles E. Lampert,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Lampert of Sturtevant avenue, Detroit.
The announcement was made at a dinner in the Lampert home.
A spring wedding is planned.
Mr. and Mrs. Simon Shlom of Clairmount avenue announce
e engagement of their daughter Bertha to Nathan Novograd,
son of Mrs. Sarah Novograd and the late Frank Novograd. A
March wedding is planned.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Schumer of Tuxedo avenue announce the
engagement of their daughter Geraldine to Phillip Raznik, son of
Mrs. Fanny Raznik. Miss Schumer is attending Wayne University.
Mr. Raznik will graduate this summer from Northern Illinois
College of Optometry, Chicago. -
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel M. Green announce the engagement of
their daughter Rita Mae to Edwin V. Horowitz, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Aaron B. Horowitz of Cincinnati. Miss Green is attending
Wayne University and her fiance is an engineering student at the
University of Cincinnati, where he is affiliated with Pi Lambda
Phi. An early fall wedding is planned.

Mrs. Louis Levenson announces
the marriage Jan. 1 of her
daughter Shirley to Emanuel
Goutman, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Eli Coutman. After a brief
honeymoon, the couple will be at
home on Marlowe avenue.
