Joyce Weiss Feted
at Pre-Nuptial Affairs

ed the tables at a dinner and
miscellaneous shower given in
honor of Joyce Weiss by Mes-
dames Morris Rosenbaum, Jo-
seph Dorfman, Milton Bressler
and Harry Dorfman.
Places were set for 125 guests
at the Bel Aire. Dr. and Mrs.
Phillip Broude of Sturtevant
avenue were hosts at a dinner
honoring Miss Weiss and her
fiance, Saul Dorfman.

Sylvia Mackey, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Mackey
of Woodingham drive, will be
united in marriage Sunday at
the Northwest Hebrew Congre-
gation with Maxwell M. Feller of
Minneapolis.
The bride-elect's par en t s
were hosts at a luncheon Tues-
day at the Hotel Statler, honor-
ing the couple and out-of-town
guests.
Others who entertained Miss
Mackey include Mesdames D.
Gross, M. Mackey, J. Glicker,
William Bliznick, and the
Misses Daisy and Marcia Mar-
cus, Sophie Fenton and Ann
Feinstein.

Naomi Spector, who for the
past two years has been a court
recorder for the state of Cali-
fornia, is visiting her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Spector of
Martindale avenue north.

Bill Haas, a student at Ken-
yon College, Gambier, 0., is
spending his school vacation with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
J. Haas of LaSalle boulevard.

Vacationing in California are
Mr. and Mrs. George Bloom and
daughter, Dorothy.

Alice Jane Spero will hold
open house Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Rattner
will leave Jan. 4 for a short visit
in New York.

MRS. LEWIS B. SCHULMAN
In a 7 p.m. ceremony Sunday at Temple Beth El, Regene
Ann Garelik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Garelik of Fair-
field avenue, spoke her marriage vows to Lewis B. Schulman,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Schulman of Pasadena avenue. The
nuptials were solemnized by Dr. B. Benedict Glazier.
. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home
of the bride's parents.
The bride was attended by Joan Davidoff, maid of honor;
Mrs. Andrew Blau, sister of the bride, matron of honor; and
Mrs. Morton Garelik, Esther Schulman, Dolores Brod and Mrs.
Bernard Brawer, bridesmaids.
Ben Schulman was his brother's best man, and ushers were
George Kanter, Abel Silberstein, Oscar Genser and Irving Kroll.
After a wedding trip to New York, the newlyweds will be at
home at 2670 Ewald Circle.
