250 Disabled Jewish Vets
Enlist as ZOA Shekel bars

NEW YORK—Col. Julius Klein,
national commander of the Jew-
ish War Veterans, this week pre-
sented to the national headquar-
ters of the Zionist Organization
of America a check in behalf of
250 hospitalized Jewish war vet-
erans in New York who have
enrolled as shekel holders of the
organization in keeping with
their desire to participate in the
election of American delegates
to the World Zionist Congress
which will be held ih 1948.
In announcing the action of
the wounded war veterans, Col.
Klein pledged his cooperation
with the effort of the Zionist Or-
.—i.;anization of America to enroll
iialf a million shekel holders in
re two-month campaign which
the organization is conducting
throughout the country.
Ile revealed that many thou-
sands ' of Jewish war veterans
have evidenced a deep desire to
participate in the nationwide ef-
fort to mobilize, through ZOA
shekel, the bulk of American
