the basis of relatively incom-
plete evidence, the inference can
be made that there is a trend
for the decline of Jewish popu-
lation everywhere outside of Pal-
estine, Ronald Freedman, instruc-
tor in the University of Michi-
gan's sociology department, said
in an interview.
He noted that there is also a
decrease in the number of cul-
ture traits which Jews have in
common.
Pointing out that Palestine is
the only spot on the globe where
Jewish culture is maintained on
a new and broader level, he as-
serted that there are many Jews
