"Jacob's Ladder" will be Rab-
bi Joshua Sperka's sermon topic
for Sabbath morning services
Nov. 22 of Congregation Bnai
David.
Ile has chosen "Palestine, a
Jewish State" as his subject for
special Thanksgiving day ser-
vices, which start at 11 a.m.
Cantor Ilyman Adler will ren-
der appropriate songs, and
members of the Bnai David Re-
ligious School will present a
dramatization.
The Synagoglie's Boy and
Girl Scout troops will also par-
ticipate.

The annual Thanksgiving ser-
vice of Congregation Shaarey
Zedek will be held at 11 a.m.,
Th ursday.

The service will include read-
ings and congregational singing,

arranged to express the signifi-
cance of the festival in terms of
the Jewish spirit and tradition.
Cantor Jacob H. Sonenklar will
officiate.
Rabbi Morris Adler will speak
on "The Test of Maturity."
Final plans have been com-
pleted and tickets are available
for the annual fall dance and
pre-Chanukah party of the
Young People's Society to take
place Dec. 6 in the social hall of
the Synagogue. Music will be
furnished by Bobby Grayson.
Tina Dubrove is chairman, as-
sisted by Adeline Cohen, Earl
Barth, Sol Ginsburg, Carolyn
Ruzumna, Doris Green, Harry
Sears, Norma Aberly, Arthur
