Morris Lieberman Is Local Chairman The Labor Zionist Organiza- tion of Detroit has announced the opening of its 1947 Feder- ated Campaign. Here as representative of the drive's national office is Nahum Weissman, former special agent in counter-intelligence in Gen. Patton's Third Army. Born in Turkey, Weissman received his Ph. D. from thg University of Paris. During the war, he was in charge of the largest internment camp for the interrogation of Nazis. Morris Lieberman. is chair- man of the local campaign. Those assisting include Morris L. Schaver, Harry Schumer, Benjamin Laikin, Sidney Shev- itz, Alex Nichamin, William Hordes, Nathan Linden, Bernard Milinsky, Mr. and Mrs. H. Mon- dry, David Sislin, Jack Schreier and Louis Rose. Overall goal is $50,000. This drive will be on behalf of all the organization's activ- ities, which include the LZO's expansion fund, Habonim Youth Organization, Habonim Institute, Yiddisher Kemfer Magazine, Jewish Frontier Magazine, Far- band Folk Schools, Jewish Teachers Seminary and Euro- pean Relief and Rehabilitation Fund.
