branch was made at a joint

Turover Society
Builds Synagogue

Under the leadership of Isidor
Sosnick, its president, the Tur-
over Aid Society has begun the
erection of a Synagogue and
community cenfer on Dexter
boulevard between Duane and
Monterey avenues.
The building will house Con-
gregation Ezras Acbim and fur-
nish club rooms for the Tur-
over Men's Club, Turover Jun-
iors, a Scout troop and the
society.
The building committee is un-
der the leadership of Julius
Schwartz and the fund-raising
committee is headed by Jacob
Bobrin assisted by Nathan Sa-
met. Max L. Roberts is secre-
tary. Saul Rubin, an ex-presi-
dent, is supervising the construc-
tion of the building.
Funds for construction are
being raised by voluntary
pledges from members. The cor-
nerstone-laying ceremonies will
be held after the High Holy
Days.
