Halevy to Open
Season Sept. 30

A get-acquainted tea-dance for
young people will be sponsored
jointly by Junior lladassah and
Masada at 2 p.m. Sunday,
Sept. 28, in the Lee Plaza Hotel.
The two groups will coordi-
nate their work for the coming
season under a program prepared
by Hertzel Saperstein, executive
director of the Detroit Youth
Commission. Ruth Prujansky,
Charlotte Bregman and Sol
Schwartz are on the program
committee.
A committee led by Zelda
Sachs, Bill Fitzerman and Leon-
ard Baruch has been set up to
work toward meeting national
quotas of *nearly $5,000.

At a candlelight ceremony in Congregation Bnai David, Estelle
Katz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Katz of Pasadena avenue --
became the bride of Gerald Rosen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isadore
Rosen of Snowden avenue.
Rose Silver, aunt of the bride, was matron of honor and
Shirley Rosen, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. Iris
Karson, Idene Silver, Arlynn Rosen and Dorothy Last served as
bridesmaids. Norma Silver and Shirley Pringle were flower girls.
Jerome B. Levy was best man and Herbert and Saul Katz.

David Rosen and Ben Baron were ushers.
Following a dinner and reception, the newlyweds left on a
wedding trip to California.
