Candlelight Ceremony Unites Pair

• Engagements

Dr. and Mrs. Emil D. Rcthman of Glastonbury road announce
the engagement of their daughter Joan to Seymour B. Goldman,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Solman M. Goldman of Richton avenue. Miss
Rothman is a graduate of the University of Michigan and was
affiliated with Sigma Delta Tau sorority. Her fiance is a graduate
of Wayne University and is a senior at the University of Michigan
law school.
The engagement of Paula Moss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Morris Berkowitz of Virginia Park, to Mike Cohen, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Cohen of Buena Vista avenue, has been announced.
No wedding date has been set.
At a dinner party Aug. 31, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Berg of Leslie
avenue announced the engagement of their daughter Evelyn to
Isadore Silverman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Silverman of
Grand avenue. The wedding will take place Jan. 25, 1948.
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Kovarsky of Linwood avenue announce
the engagement of their daughter Eleanore to Bert Ellstein, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ellstein of Monterey avenue.
Announcement is made of the betrothal of Suzane Rosen-
wasser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo M. Rosenwasser of Kingston,
N.Y., to David Gottlieb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Gottlieb of
Broadstrcet boulevard.
The engagement of Helen Nancy Levitan, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Levitan, to Lt. Col ; Nelson K. Mintz, son of
Mrs. Rebecca Mintz of Grant City, Staten Island, N.Y., has been
announced by the bride-elect's parents. A fall wedding is planned.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel S. Barnett of Tyler avenue announce
the engagement of their daughter Beverly to David Berkowitz,
son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Berkowitz of Roselawn avenue. No
wedding date has been set.
Mr. and Mrs. L. Kline of Rochester avenue announce the
engagement of their daughter Ruthe to Nathan Milstein, son of
Mr. and Mrs. B. Milstein of Pingree avenue.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ressler of Lawrence avenue announce the
engagement of their daughter Sara to Irving Leonard Haron, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Max Haron of Taylor avenue.
